This exciting trip begins at 9:00 am at your hotel in Cusco and will take you through the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas, where you will meet the Llamas and Alpacas in a ranch. After an introduction to these fascinating creatures and the ranch facilities, you will head to the picturesque town of Maras and the ancient salt platforms of Salineras, used since the time of the Incas.

Then, you will embark on a 2-hour hike alongside the Llamas and Alpacas, ascending to more than 3,750 meters, where you will witness breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains, such as Chicon, Veronica, and Salkantay. You will explore Lake Huaypo and enjoy lunch with spectacular scenery.

The trip continues to Moray, an intriguing site that will remind you of the famous Nasca Lines. From Moray, you will descend to the bottom of the valley before heading back to the ranch. Finally, around 4:00 pm, they will take you back to Cusco.

Itinerary Llama Trekking Maras Moray 1 Day

DAY 1: LLAMA TREKKING MARAS MORAY

We Pick you up at 9:00 am from your hotel in Cusco. Transfer to ranch, located in the Sacred Valley (Maras). At ranch we will meet our Llamas and complete explanation about the premises and an introduction of our Llamas and Alpacas. After lunch we depart toward the picturesque village of Maras. Then to the salt platforms of Salineras (Inca times), still being used by the locals to extract salt from the mountain spring water. Where the salty water is channeled through an impressive irrigation system and left to evaporate in the sun.Continue 2 hours climbing Hiking with the Llamas and alpacas (1000m) to reach the high Andean. Over at 3750m the stunning scenery and the snow-capped mountains of Chicon, Veronica and Salkantay is impressive. Cooling of the products was achieved by using a genius system of underground air-circulation. Hike to Lake Huaypo, there will have box lunch with spectacular scenery of snow-capped mountains, wildflowers and beautiful mountain lakes. There are no great ruins in Moray to impress visitors. Moray is more for the contemplative traveler with an affinity for such phenomena as the Nasca Lines. From Moray we come back down to the Valley floor, after we come back to the ranch. At 4 pm Aprox transfer back to Cusco.
